Now: We are asking what people think.

About this idea

Westexe's ageing paddling pool could become a modern, fully accessible splash park, with jets, fountains and interactive water play. Other towns have used splash parks to create safer, more inclusive and attractive places for families to go. It could be part of wider improvements to play, seating, toilets and facilities across the Rec.

Where it could go

Early design work looked at three ways of doing it: replacing the paddling pool with a splash park; making the paddling pool's space part of a new, larger splash area; or building one somewhere else within the hedged part of the Rec.
